    We light our own DWDM waves between our Amsterdam core sites—we don’t take lit waves from a third party. That means we control capacity, upgrades, and fault response ourselves.

    As a RIPE NCC member we operate a Local Internet Registry. We can provide IPv4 and IPv6 allocations, ASN assignments, and RIPE database support—so you can get address space and keep it maintained in one place.

Our network is built for resilience and performance. We do not rely on a single upstream or a handful of peers; we run multiple transit relationships and are present at many Internet Exchanges. The result is redundant paths, better routing, and lower latency for your traffic.

Key characteristics

  • Multiple upstream transit providers — No single point of failure. Your connectivity stays online even if one upstream has issues; we can shift traffic and restore full reachability.
  • Many Internet Exchanges connected — Direct peering with content, cloud, and other networks means shorter paths, lower latency, and often lower cost than transit-only solutions. We participate at major European IXes.
  • Low-latency paths — Within the Netherlands and to major European hubs. Suitable for trading, gaming, real-time applications, and any latency-sensitive workload.
  • Own lit waves between core sites — Our Amsterdam core locations are interconnected by DWDM waves we light ourselves. We control capacity and troubleshooting end to end.
  • 24/7 monitoring — The network is monitored around the clock; alerts trigger an engineer response when failures are detected.

Services

We offer four core services: IP transit for full BGP connectivity, internet connectivity for simple dedicated access, L2 datacenter-to-datacenter links for private connectivity between your sites, and LIR services for address space and ASN needs. All run over a network we control end to end, with DWDM we light ourselves between our Amsterdam core locations.

IP Transit

Full BGP multi-homed IP transit on AS211623. Multiple upstreams and many IX connections give you resilience and optimal routing—no single choke point. We deliver low latency across the Netherlands and into major European and global destinations.

Ideal for: hosting, CDN, SaaS, gaming, or any business that needs reliable, well-peered internet with predictable performance.

Internet connectivity

Dedicated internet access at our locations. Reliable, well-connected connectivity for your colo, office, or edge deployment—backed by our multi-upstream, multi-IX network.

Ideal for: colocation customers, offices, or any site that needs solid internet without running their own BGP.

L2 DC-to-DC connectivity

Layer 2 point-to-point or point-to-multipoint between your cages or suites across our footprint. Private VLANs, no internet exposure—just a clean L2 extension so you can stretch subnets, run replication, or build active-active setups.

Ideal for: database replication, storage sync, disaster recovery, low-latency links between your own sites, and high-availability architectures.

LIR services

We are a RIPE NCC member and operate a Local Internet Registry (LIR). We can provide IPv4 and IPv6 address space and ASN allocation support, and assist with registration and maintenance in the RIPE database.

Ideal for: organisations that need their own address space or ASN and want a responsive, technical LIR.

Locations

Amsterdam is our core: three datacenters interconnected by DWDM we light ourselves, with full IP transit, internet connectivity, and L2 DC-to-DC between them. We also offer connectivity at two on-net sites outside Amsterdam—Greenhouse in Naaldwijk and Colocenter in Zoetermeer—so you can connect with us without being in the capital.

Core — Amsterdam

Our backbone. All three sites are on our own infrastructure with full IP transit, internet connectivity, and L2 DC-to-DC between them. Ideal for multi-site deployments and low-latency links within Amsterdam.

  • Qupra DC Amsterdam — Core PoP on our backbone.
  • Databarn Amsterdam — Core PoP on our backbone.
  • Nikhef Amsterdam — Core PoP on our backbone.

On-net

IP transit and L2 connectivity available at both sites. We can extend your L2 from here to our Amsterdam core or to other on-net locations.

  • Greenhouse Naaldwijk — IP transit and L2 to Amsterdam and Zoetermeer.
  • Colocenter Zoetermeer — IP transit and L2 to Amsterdam and Naaldwijk.

About OXAR

OXAR operates AS211623 as a Dutch network provider. We offer IP transit, internet connectivity, L2 datacenter-to-datacenter connectivity, and LIR services. Our network is multi-homed with multiple upstream transit providers and presence at many Internet Exchanges. Between our three Amsterdam core datacenters we light our own DWDM waves—so we control the backbone that carries your traffic.

We are a member of the RIPE NCC and operate a Local Internet Registry (LIR). That allows us to provide IPv4 and IPv6 address space and ASN allocation support alongside our connectivity products, so you can get connectivity and address space from a single, technical provider.
